    FINAL PROJECTS

    STAYING SAFE ON THE RAILS

This project examined violent crime incidents within 500 feet of RTD train stations in Denver to assess safety conditions around transit hubs. Using GIS data from RTD and law enforcement sources, I mapped incident patterns and highlighted areas of heightened risk. The findings provide insights for planners, policymakers, and community members working to improve safety and encourage greater transit use.

    DENVER CAR-FREE STREETS ASSESSMENT

This project assessed the impacts of car-free streets in downtown Denver by examining how pedestrians use and experience these spaces. Our team collected pedestrian counts, conducted asset inventories, and analyzed space utilization to evaluate how car-free initiatives influence accessibility and community vitality. The findings informed recommendations to enhance walkability and support more livable, people-centered streets.
